I just wanted to thank Debbie for bringing this group together. You have done A LOT of work! It is amazing how alone you feel when you discover that your child suffers from severe food allergies. However, I have come to find so many others who are dealing with the same issues and it is nice to know that you are not alone. We are so lucky to have so many great resources and hearing about how those with older children have tackled so many hard issues certainly paves the way for the rest of us. I just wanted to say that all the hard work that was put into this group does not go unrecognized. Debbie, thank you for all that you do and for all that you are. Information is power and our family appreciates all that EVERYONE has to share.

Leslie- I'm just checking in on this board while on vacation- what a nice note to find! Thanks so much for your kind words regarding starting this group! I totally agree- information truly is power and with food allergy it is essential to keeping our kids safe. Having a network of parents has certainly been so helpful to me in having others who understand and who I can learn from and share experiences with! I also appreciate everyone who has joined and who participates in meetings, events, the message board... I hope we all benefit and can get what we're looking for from this group!

That's true thank you Debbie! for putting this group together, I am so happy for the very informative meetings that you put together and your husband, in fact after the meeting with regards to the 504 plan, I got so motivated and went and talk to my daughter's school 504 coordinator, she is very helpful and hopefully we could put it into action, I myself felt alone with regards to my kid's allergies. Indeed, information is power and thank you.

Yes, I just sent a note to Dana saying the same as Leslie. Those of you that have gone through and put this all together has been a god sent to the rest of the families. We definately appreciate everything!!

Alot of thank you's and more to come. I am just greatful I found this group through one of your current members. This was my first meeting, and the only downfall was getting there at 7 and having to leave right after and not getting a chance to meet some of you. The meeting was great and very informative. Thank you, Thank you!

Thank you for the appreciative words! Hearing our meetings, etc. have been helping our families is wonderful and goes a long way! :) It is awesome to be getting to know such a fantastic group of parents (and kids)!!

I agree with all the above! I don't get a chance to log on often, and still haven't been able to meet everyone, but I'm around =) Thanks for all your work, I know it's so hard to organize a group. Kim

I just joined today and have already found some great resources. I feel that my husband and I are well informed and diligent about my daughters allergies but as I've seen referenced on these boards, others don't "get" it! Thank you for organizing a great website and support group! I look forward to meeting some of you at next weeks meeting.
