Hello all,
I just joined this support group and am excited! I have two children, and both have multiple food allergies. I bake or cook for them everyday, so I have learned a lot about substitutions and adapting recipes and have a lot more to learn! I want to share with you what I've learned so far, and look forward to gaining ideas and resources, and support from you! Please visit my blog at http://wheatdairyeggnutfree.blogspot.com/
My hope is that we can learn to provide healthy, satisfying, and budget-friendly food for our food allergic children.
Note that my blog is a work in progress- not organized just how I want it yet- but there's a lot of useful information there!
I am excited about meeting you all and sharing and learning!

A note from Melissa L. for this thread:
Just a warning for those who cannot have gluten- I use oats in many of my recipes that are posted on my blog. Any of you know about contamination issues with oats in the U.S.? It looks to me that for some or many who have issues with gluten, that pure oats are okay. I really don't want to buy certified gluten-free oats if it's not needed. My daughter has not been diagnosed with celiac(actually was tested and it was non-conclusive negative) but she gets rashes when she eats wheat, barley, or rye.
