We are a group of parents who are determined to raise healthy and well–adjusted children, despite their food allergies. We strive to figure out ways to keep our children safe from the food allergens that surround them, while still allowing them to experience the activities and joys of a normal way of life. We team up to learn the ins-and-outs of food allergies, share ideas and experiences, increase community awareness, and encourage each other along the way.

Our group welcomes families with newly diagnosed infants, to those preparing to send their teens to college. Whether you are managing one food allergy or many, we encourage you to join us. We are an empathetic resource for newly diagnosed families in particular.

Our group is affiliated with the Asthma Allergy Association of America (www.aafa.org) and our medical adviser is Sean McKnight, M.D., FAAP, FAAAAI (www.desertallergy.com). With the help of local experts in food allergy and related fields, we offer quarterly speaker meetings at St. Rose Dominican Hospitals in Henderson and Las Vegas. We offer informal group meetings and/or play groups approximately four times a year, as well. We also have an online message board system that allows our members the opportunity to communicate with each other in between meetings. Our message board is open to all parents who are managing food allergy in Southern Nevada!

We welcome you to contact us to obtain some quick information/resources, to join us for one meeting on a particular topic of interest, to participate in our online message board, and/or to attend many of our meetings for the opportunity to learn all about food allergy issues and to share ideas, product finds, recipes, safety tips, concerns, questions, challenges, triumphs.

To join our group, please simply complete the information requested in the Signup Page. You will then receive an email notice from us periodically (e.g., when we announce an upcoming meeting) and you will also be able to participate in our active and helpful online message forum!
